Humanitarian Forum Indonesia (HFI) is an interfaith consortia of humanitarian organizations, concern on the issue on humanitarian and development affairs. We seek qualified Indonesian candidates for the positions for STEADY (Strengthening Capacity and Accompaniment of CSOs in Emergency Response, Coordination, and Advocacy) Project below:

  1. Project Officer (code: PO)
  2. MEAL Officer (code: MO)
  3. Senior Finance Officer (code: SFO)
  4. Cashier and Admin Officer (code: CAO)

 

Duty Station: HFI office in DKI Jakarta Province, Indonesia.

Employment type: contractual work for 1 year period (with possibility to extend)

General requirements for all staffs:

  1. Has excellent social skills and interpersonal skills;
  2. Has excellent computer skills and any other programs will be a plus point;
  3. Able to read, write, listen and speak fluently both in Indonesia and English;
  4. Able to work in minimum supervision;
  5. Able to work independently and as team member;
  6. Able to multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines;
  7. Understand and respect interfaith values, and able to work under interfaith circumstances;
  8. Preferably has ever worked in non-profit sectors;
  9. Preferably has ever worked in humanitarian programs;
  10. Preferably has ever worked on project(s) funded by USAID

 

1. Project Officer (1 Person) – code: PO

Job Description:

  1. Assisting Team Leader in project implementation;
  2. Assisting Team Leader in project reporting;
  3. Assisting Team Leader in preparing documents for project implementation such as invitation letters, ToRs, reports, forms, etc.;
  4. Make a budget plan for implementation of project and submitted to Team Leader;
  5. Manage the project and budget in accordance with planned activities;
  6. Assisting Team Leader and MEAL Officer in the development of project’s Detail Implementation Plan (DIP) and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) plan;
  7. Support in facilitating training, simulation and practices;
  8. Provide support for institutional strengthening of CSOs on programming and management by developing humanitarian response standard operating procedures and defining roles and responsibilities;
  9. Provide technical support and accompaniment to CSOs;
  10. Support coordination and monitoring of project activities;
  11. Support and coordinate information sharing among project team members and project beneficiaries;
  12. Visit program sites if required;
  13. Develop new initiatives related to the organizational concern issues;
  14. Other duties as assigned by Team Leader

 

Requirements:

  1. Minimum education of bachelor’s degree in social science or relevant studies;
  2. At least 3 years of professional experience in the technical area of capacity strengthening on humanitarian response;
  3. Has experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of results-oriented methods of working;
  4. Able to maintain good communication with partners;
  5. Able to work with donors, governments, CSOs, people at risk, religious leaders;
  6. Experienced in facilitating capacity strengthening, including develop training plan and module;
  7. Familiar in project budgetting

 

2. MEAL Officer (1 Person) – code: MO

Job Description:

  1. Assisting Team Leader in project monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning;
  2. Assisting Team Leader in project reporting;
  3. Develop and implement MEAL design for humanitarian project;
  4. Monitor and evaluate project performance and deliverables against project strategic and intermediate results;
  5. Generate knowledge for internal and external learning;
  6. Ensure STEADY project is aligned to HFI’s organization-wide monitoring and evaluation policies, systems and tools for evidence generation;
  7. Develop and implement feedback and complaint response mechanism, preferably for humanitarian consortia;
  8. Responsible for information collection, analysis and reporting process;
  9. Make a budget plan for MEAL and submitted to Team Leader;
  10. Develop new initiatives related to the organizational concern issues;
  11. Other duties as assigned by Team Leader

 

Requirements:

  1. Minimum education of bachelor’s degree in social science, statistic degree or relevant studies;
  2. At least 5 years of professional experience in extensive monitoring and evaluation of projects related to social sciences, humanitarian, human rights or development work;
  3. Has experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of results-oriented methods of working;
  4. Experienced in develop and implement MEAL design for humanitarian project;
  5. Experienced in develop and implement feedback and complaint response mechanism, preferably for humanitarian consortia;
  6. Demonstrated skills in data collection, data analysis, documentation, data interpretation and reporting;
  7. Demonstrated knowledge in computer-based data analysys applications and/or computer-based project management applications;
  8. Impressive analytical and writing skills;
  9. Able to maintain good communication with partners;
  10. Able to work with donors, governments, CSOs, people at risk, religious leaders;
  11. Familiar in project budgetting

 

3. Senior Finance Officer (1 Person) – code: SFO

Job Description:

  1. Assisting Team Leader in project implementation;
  2. Assisting Finance Manager in project financial reporting;
  3. Make a budget plan and forecast for implementation of project and submitted to Team Leader and Finance Manager;
  4. Make monthly, quarterly, mid-term, and final financial report submitted to donor;
  5. Manage procurement of goods and services;
  6. Manage the project and budget in accordance with planned activities;
  7. Develop new initiatives related to the organizational concern issues;
  8. Other duties as assigned by Finance Manager and Team Leader.

 

Requirements:

  1. Minimum education of bachelor’s degree in finance/management/accounting;
  2. Has a minimum 5 years work experience, in finance/accounting;
  3. Demonstrated skill in general ledger accounting and account reconciliation, data analysis and tax;
  4. Has experience in planning, monitoring and control of fund (under and over budget) of results-oriented methods of working;
  5. Comprehensive knowledge of finance, cash flow planning, balance sheet and general ledger;
  6. Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping;
  7. Excellent knowledge of financial management, report and accounting standard (PSAK);
  8. Possess analytical skill in reading the complexities of financial procedures and regulations.

 

4. Cashier and Admin Officer (1 Person) – code: CAO

Job Description:

  1. Assisting Team Leader in project implementation;
  2. Assisting Finance Manager and Senior Finance Officer in project financial reporting;
  3. Make monthly budget plan and report for office petty cash and submitted to Finance Manager and Team leader;
  4. Manage documentation of advance and expenditure of the project;
  5. Manage project administration;
  6. Support Senior Finance Officer in project procurement;
  7. Communicate with vendors regarding office services and goods;
  8. Develop new initiatives related to the organizational concern issues;
  9. Other duties as assigned by Finance Manager and Senior Finance Officer

 

Requirements:

  1. Minimum education of bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant studies; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  2. Has a minimum 2 years work experience, as finance staff/cashier;
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of finance, cash flow planning, balance sheet and general ledger;
  4. Has experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of results-oriented methods of working.
