The Humanitarian Forum Indonesia (HFI) office was the venue for a warm gathering at the Iftar event held on March 13, 2025. The event, which took place from 16:00 to 19:00, was attended by the extended family of HFI and its partners.
Several institutional leaders were also present at this meeting, including; the Deputy of Collection of BAZNAS RI, three echelon 2 officials from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), namely; the Director of Preparedness, the Director of Victim and Refugee Facilities, and the Head of the Operations Control Center, representatives of International NGOs, the extended family of the Indonesian Red Cross, and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), all of whom have supported various humanitarian collaboration and coordination programs.
The General Chairperson of HFI, M. Ali Yusuf, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the cooperation and collaboration that has been established. He emphasized the importance of partnerships and collaboration in achieving humanitarian program goals. The atmosphere of friendly interaction among the invited guests colored the event, with introductions taking place, and constructive dialogues and exchanges of ideas occurring amidst the enjoyment of the Iftar meal.
As a prelude to the breaking of the fast, a humanitarian lecture delivered by Victor Rembeth provided a deep reflection on the humanitarian values that underpin the work of Humanitarian organizations. Not only were humanitarian values presented, but in a familial atmosphere, the lecture was delivered humorously.
Representing the invited guests, in a friendly address, Pangarso Suryotomo, the Director of Preparedness of BNPB, affectionately known as Pak Papang, conveyed that such activities are important to be carried out from year to year by both the government and community organizations. So that the relationship between the government and NGOs, in addition to humanitarian activities in the field, also includes activities such as Iftar and others. He also appealed and reminded everyone to increase disaster preparedness, which will be launched in a routine agenda on April 26, 2025.
This Iftar Gathering was not only an event for strengthening relationships, but also a moment to reinforce a shared commitment to continue collaborating in realizing a better Indonesia.
